After the explosion of the Prefabricated Fragment killer, The mutilate target is stricken by pre-installed fragment with increasing speed. Fragment velocity and the fragment number are two important parameters of the performance preformed by fragment warhead. At present, a lot of people are researching on how to improve the performance of the Prefabricated Fragment killer. This paper puts forward the project design that we can improve the warheads power by meeting the need of the loaded preformed fragment number. Generally speaking, after loading the preformed fragment, the shell is divided into two or three parts, which will decrease the strength of the shell. On the other hand, the connection of structure should still be ensured. In this way, if connected with threads, the connection will be decreased. To ensure the strength, the number of the preformed fragment is decreased. As a result, it cannot meet the requirement of the warhead power. While in terms of the welding form, the premise of the guaranteed strength and the requirement of loaded number can be satisfied at the same time. On the basis of this thought, this article proposes the feasibility scheme, adopting the analyzed method of numerical simulation. At the same time, it provides guidance and reference for warhead design and optimization, thus providing a new train of thought to improve the fragment warhead power.To test and verify the feasibility of welding integral warhead assumption, this paper conducted live-fire test. From the result of the recycling, weld strength can satisfy the tactical performance requirements. On this basis, this paper uses finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA to simulate the welded integral warhead, and compares the simulation under the ideal state of monolithic warhead. Seen from the simulation results, the integral warhead explosion welding process is good, and it is similar to that of the warheads exploded.More importantly, combining verification of the theory, welding integral pre-made fragment warhead finally gets better speed and flying-angle.
