The rapid development of manufacturing industry brings a bright future to our business, but also brings unprecedented challenges at the same time. The automobile manufacturing industry is especially in manufacturing top priority, many domestic auto companies has made great economic benefits through the use of Industrial Engineering technology. This paper takes lamps assembly process as the research object and improves the lamp assembly line efficiency and workers’ comfort as the goal, uses the method of IE to propose scheme of good improvement effect.This paper summarizes the achievements of China’s auto parts manufacturing industry and the challenges faced and solves the domestic auto parts production and the management issues. Main topic research is to improve the coordination of assembly line of people, machines and the environment, to improve production efficiency of the assembly line by using IE method, and the method is mainly methods’ study and work measurement and fixation management etc. IE technology, combining and rearranging some of the unreasonable production flow process on production site, and improving the operational method. In the process of improving the ingredients to consider the harmonization of the production site people, machine and the environment, and improving the environment of the scene to give workers a comfortable and safe protection, and improve work efficiency, improvement reflects the human mind. At no additional cost under the premise, the production efficiency has greatly improvedIn the increasingly competitive auto parts manufacturing industry, the application of IE method has become a continuing concern. This paper takes Huanyu lamp assembly workshop as the object, through field data collection, and analysis the existing processes, work instructions, standard fixed-site management, and formulate effective improvement schemes. First of all, using 5W1 H questioning method, ECRS principle and combining human factors engineering principles to analyze the assembly plant production processes, operating methods, redistribute the load on the production line distribution, improving worker comfort. Secondly, using the model method and man-machine operation analysis, the standard operation time of the station is reformulated, which reduces the waste of time and improves the production efficiency. Then, the improved scheme is simulated with Flexsim to determine the rationality of the improvement, and the effect of the improvement is evaluated. Finally, aiming at the production site of regional division, material placement and other issues, and combining with the company’s actual, to introduce fixation management, and puts forward the measures for the administration, then through comparative analysis and evaluation to improve the effect.The research results show that the improvement of the automotive lamps assembly plant has reached the goal of reducing cost and improving production efficiency.
