In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economic and social, the building industry has made remarkable achievements, but due to the construction engineering project has the feature of big scale, longer construction period, high technical required, complicated environment, more type of work cross frequently and research on the construction safety risk management is later in our country, thus, safety accidents has happened frequently in the course of construction, it has caused not only a large number of casualties and property losses but also the great negative impact on the involved enterprises and society. In order to reduce the construction project safety accident, scholars through research have made a lot of achievements, however in the construction safety risk management there are still some aspects need to be strengthened and improved, such as the comprehensiveness of safety risk source identification, the objectivity and rationality of safety risk assessment.This paper around the topic of the construction safety risk has studied, based on the analyses of current development situation of domestic and foreign research related to safety risk management, taken the safety risk identification, evaluation and disposal as research content, focused on strengthening and improving comprehensiveness of safety risk source identification, ’the objectivity and rationality of safety risk assessment. Aiming at the above problems, this paper respectively gives the improved process check list method, the fuzzy extension of analytic hierarchy process and the principal component analysis - extreme learning machine(PCA-ELM) safety risk evaluation method.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1) According to the process of construction project safety risk identification, by collecting a large amount of data in building engineering, based on the accident cause theory for the safety accident risk source of classification, referred to national industry standards "building construction safety inspection standards" (JGJ59-2011) in the checklist, expert advice and related documents, according to each division component project construction and construction process, the paper identifies and determines the improved construction engineering construction safety risk checklist. By adopted the improved construction safety risk checklist, it has identified the main safety risk sources and possible accidents of foundation engineering, the main body engineering and decoration engineering.(2) Following the construction principle of safety risk evaluation index system, according to the accident causation theory, safety risk categories and the relevant literature, the initial index has obtained. Then the safety risk source indentification results and expert advice was adopted to revise index, and thereby it has established the construction safety risk evaluation system. The system includes a target layer of construction project safety risk evaluation, five criterion layers which consist of the personnel, materials mechanical equipment, technique, environment and management, twenty-four solution layers. On this basis, through the analysis of the safety risk evaluation method and comparison, it has put forward to apply the fuzzy extension of analytic hierarchy process and PCA-ELM for construction engineering safety risk evaluation.(3) It has applied the construction safety risk evaluation index system and evaluation methods for specific engineering cases, and the evaluation results are obtained. Through the analysis of the evaluation results, which can be concluded that affect project construction safety major risk factors:materials mechanical equipment and personnel. The influential factors of materials and equipment is material handling and stacking, material quality and the reliability of the mechanical equipment inspection; The influential factors of personnel is safety consciousness and illegal operation. Aiming at the five major safety risk factors, combining the identified all stages of construction safety risk source, it put forward the concrete measures.(4) According to the construction safety risk evaluation index system and fuzzy extension of analytic hierarchy process, based on Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008 platform, it has put to use C# programming language to develop the construction project safety risk assessment software in order to effectively facilitate the safety risk evaluation.
