Yunnan urban agglomeration in the middle distance in kunming and yuxi city is the nearest. In recent years the development of the urban space changes significantly. Because of its special economy, geography and traffic location, the urban population and urbanization has increased dramatically in recent years. As the city scale increasing, the land increasingly prominent contradictions and social and environmental problems. Their changes of urban spatial extension typical in the province and even in China. The study of extension characteristics, driving mechanism and dynamic simulation prediction have good to guiding the rational layout of urban space, the effective development and utilization of land resources and management, ecological environment protection and management. And for KunYu city development and improvement to provide important basis for the establishment of policy.(1) To four phase image interpretation, supervised classification and accuracy of the inspection. The MLP model accuracy as high as 90.04% and 90.04%. Results show that the two groups of markov chain model is not the possibility of using the land and the cultivated land into construction land is the largest. Soft predicted results of the Validation test proved that the simulation result is accurate, reliable and four kinds of Kappa index to Kno=0.7738, Klocation=0.8062, Klocation with Strata=0.8062, Kstandard=0.7512.
