These urban problems include environmental pollution, traffic jam etc. Increasingly, they have influenced on the healthy development of economy and society. Govement and society pay more attention to the problems. The development of three-diensional about our city can save the land, shorten people’s commuter time. City to develop in the direction of high altitude and underground realm causes concern to the urban planning profession.Medium-sized cities in our country about the theory and practice of the underground space are also in the initial stage, they need to have a system pattern of planning theory and correct guidance.To this end, this thesis analysis from the related theories of urban underground space development, at first, find to heavy medium cities and major cities, urban underground space planning in common, and medium-sized cities in the emphasis of the priority to the development of underground space planning; secondly through the comprehensive and systematic collection of Rizhao city related data, analysis of the major content of Rizhao city underground space planning, sums up the medium key direction and main contents of urban underground space planning. Thesis mainly from the following five aspects:medium-sized cities underground space resource evaluation, underground space demand forecasting, overall layout planning of underground space, the special system planning of underground space, the planning of development and utilization to underground space in the urban center area.This thesis adopts the method of integrated research and deep mining system is analyzed, and put forward the medium urban underground space planning strategy, summary extract medium urban underground space planning and technical route. Hoping through this research, for our country medium urban underground space planning to develop some new train of thought, I hope provide some useful reference and experience in this kind of urban underground space planning aspects.
