Since the 1990s, the Internet has begun to enter the Chinese market, in 20 years years of development, China’s network coverage spread rapidly booming Internet market economy. The sales network is a new consumption patterns in the Internet under virtual platform generated by the online shopping package with this new consumption patterns emerged, so online shopping package is the development of Internet technology and e-commerce and traditional packaging on the basis of evolved. This new consumption patterns, the traditional business model is facing opportunities and challenges, while packaging sales due to different modes and methods of distribution, so that the focus of the packaging changes, the original traditional packaging is no longer meet the needs of online shopping environment.Through methods change research and cross-over study of comparative artistic theory under online shopping package with traditional packaging were compared in terms of market positioning, design principles, in the traditional sales model, the next consumer in most cases is a direct view and reach having packaged goods, packaging conveyed to consumers by the content information to guide consumers to buy goods; while in Internet sales model, through business-to-consumer products to describe the image, text, video, animation and other content knowledge goods, consumers can not see as well as physical access to the goods and packaging; packaging sales analysis from the traditional physical platform to showcase virtual exhibition platform for the internet, distribution channels by the bulk of the traditional mode of transport to a single network or a small amount of the sales mode of transport change, exploring the causes of these changes and their inherent relevance. Comparative studies show that online shopping to traditional packaging packing process of change, from the visible to the invisible, from complex to simple, from the physical to the virtual process, this change makes the packaging process in order to meet new market demands and have a new design Reflection direction.This paper reviews the history of the origins of packaging development, analyzed the new environment, new consumption patterns packaging design faced with new problems, theories and methods of comparative research through the use of online shopping package with traditional packaging sales platform, circulation methods, consumer groups, practical aspects of function, design aesthetics, structure and other materials for comparative analysis, combined with typical cases, summarize the various factors in different consumption patterns affect the packaging design. For current technology and changes in consumption patterns of the new situation, to re-examine traditional packaging, design aesthetics, consumer behavior, psychology, design, marketing, consumer psychology, logistics and technology point of view of traditional packaging and packaging in online shopping structure, materials, decoration and other aspects of the differences and relations, comparative study of both the similarities and differences deduced the principles and methods of online shopping package redesign, and to explore strategic framework for online shopping packaging design, and strive for the online shopping trends packaging design provides practical basis and theoretical reference reference. Finally, south of Shannan brand as a practice object of the study validated.
