The Study Of Harbin Commercial Pedestrian Street Post-occupancy Evaluation Based On Environmental Cognition

Commercial pedestrian street, is a shopping and leisure place for exchange, as a constituent part of the urban public landscape, reflecting the material social and spiritual civilization. Today, user’s demand for high-quality commercial pedestrian street landscape environment requirements is becoming higher and higher.Harbin’s Commercial pedestrian street,in which is a city full of geographical and cultural characteristics, whether the design can meet people’s use and aesthetic needs, whether it is easy to recognize, remember and to identification, are worthy of attention.The main reason for these problems is the lack of feedback about the using persent of built environment, resulting in the problems cannot be solved in time and repeated again and again. Post-occupancy Evaluation(POE),is a method that starting from the user’s own needs, investigation built environment usage, not only can evaluate,check and feedback, but also can produce feed forward to the future related projects, POE as a means for design decisions and feedback mechanism, is of great significance to improve the quality of construction.Therefore, this study choosed the perspective of environment cognitive from the environmental psychology, take the visual image, use function, culture expressed as criterion, analyzed the present situation of Harbin commercial pedestrian street environment design.The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to construct the evaluation index system contained seven primary index, twenty-four secondary indicators. Using factor analysis to determine the primary index weight, and using AHP and factor analysis, which are subjective and objective methods to determine the weights of the secondary indexes,then combining the four kinds of typical commercial pedestrian street in Harbin as an example of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.By comparing the streets’ rating results and the field research,to verify the reliability of evaluation model, and put forward suggestions for optimizing the commercial pedestrian street problems.
