As urbanization continues to advance, the growing size of the cities of Beijing,but the core functional areas concentrated in the main urban areas, residential areas,but the suburban counties develop relations this imbalance leads to morning and evening peak period "tidal" traffic phenomenon particularly serious, and this is one of the important factors in this project sources. Beijing Jing Tong Expressway as a typical representative of one section of the tidal phenomenon, studied tidal driveway construction and operation of the program is innovative and forward-looking.Tidal asymmetric traffic lane as an important means to solve, has been widely used at home and abroad, however, apply it with no precedent urban freeway or highway. In the study of Beijing-lane expressway tidal process, traffic and driving speed during the evening peak investigation to analyze the set tidal lane road traffic by calculating the distribution coefficient and the average vehicle in the form of speed,while establishing a variable lane mathematical model to optimize the allocation, by mathematical methods to prove the reasonableness of the lane assignment.
