With the development of science and technology, the technology of power system has been realized. The higher the electric current, the equipment failure, power outages, and even the explosion, the substation operator work on the front line, the equipment fault directly endanger their lives, so it is necessary to carry out a new technology, especially in recent years, the technology and computer technology have achieved a high degree of automation, but still use manual temperature measurement. With the development of sensor, wireless network, computer and optical fiber communication technology, power production will gradually shift to the wireless temperature detection system.On the basis of fully considering the specific requirements of electric power production, this paper discusses the necessity and difficulty of temperature measurement of power equipment, and makes a brief summary of the main methods used in the production process. Taking into account the production and development projects, the author focuses on the system structure, system solution, core components, software functions and other aspects of the work. The paper introduces the design of software and hardware, introduces the test operation of the wireless temperature monitoring system, and makes a series of test. The test run results verify that the wireless temperature detection system can make the operation and maintenance of the transformer substation switch cabinet more convenient, the maintenance of high voltage equipment on duty becomes more secure, electric power enterprises can get more benefits, therefore, it has great practical value.
