The Research On Experiential Interior Space Of Museum Based On Phenomenology Of Architecture

In the context of globalization, the international style and the trend of visual form cause the loss of genius loci and space character, which makes the perception and experience of people become weaker. The principle of Phenomenology of Architecture is to return to the essence of architecture and re-examine the inner relationship between people and architecture, which leads people regain the original experience in the place. With the development of society and the value orientation of the museum, museum is not only the carrier of human civilization, but also the vivid experiential place. And the experience of space has become an essential measure of museum design. As the connection between man and building, the interior space of museum contains the most essential connotation and it is the place where people gain kinds of experience. Therefore, it is worth to concern that how to create experiential interior space of museum.With the combination of Phenomenology of Architecture and practical cases, the dissertation aims to study on experiential interior space of museum. Firstly, the author clarifies the theory of architectural phenomenology that place and perception are two key points in experience. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes the characters of the existing place and the perception of man in museums, which are based on genius loci and perception respectively. Thirdly, the dissertation summarizes design strategies of experiential interior space of museum based on foundation research, including space, light, material and detail. Finally, the strategies are applied in the historical and cultural expo of Chaoshan to prove the feasibility that enrich the study.There are two main innovations in this dissertation. Firstly, it is a supplemental study on phenomenology of architecture which combines theory and architectural practice. Secondly, responding to the demand for museum experience, the study provides creative ideas and efficient design strategies for experiential interior space of museum.
