To Analyze The Spatial Form&Genius Loci Of Guangdong University Of Technology With Phenomenology

In recent years, with the development of science and technology and the emergency of economy age，our country constantly increase the committed to the cause of education to adapt to the requirements of social development.. The newly-built, expanded and renovated Colleges and"College towns" were built throughout the country. It’s prosperously building college campus nowadays. However,in such a commercial economy society,the designer starting only with the economic benefit, hold high the great banner of "Functionalism",proneness to boasting and exaggeration.But it doesn’t make sense in campus creation,The construction of a campus culture fails in ignoring its regional feature, the construction of spiritual culture,the continuing civilized pulse of traditional campus.It leads to the students in collage can’t feel a sense of ascription and safety.Ends in the spirit of place in the campus had been gradually lost."How students to find a sense of ascription and safety?How to build a better construction of spiritual culture?This is the writing purpose.It’s obviously that "Functionalism"or"Pragmatism"can’t solve problems when we are facing up to problems.Phenomenology is new in philosophy.it provide a new reference point for us in thinking and exploring the construction of college.Phenomenology is a kind of methodology in regarding questions,which base on the nature of life,abandon all the "Science of stereotypes and prejudice".Phenomenology focus on pure phenomenon and people’s direct feelings and daily life experiences,which can help us to know the relationship of man and nature in campus intrinsically.The article wants an effect a permanent cure throughout the phenomenological theory.The article summarize the major issue of construction in the universities--the falling of campus’genius loci.And review relevant concepts of phenomenological theory,in especial the Genius Loci.as an more effective method in campus planing.We try to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the campus planning of Guangdong University of Technology with Phenomenology.Chapter three and four are the keystone of this article.Chapter three goes into analyzing the Spatial Form of the campus with Phenomenology in particular.Chapter four is the focus of the article,which from the levels of intention.space,characteristic and Genius Loci to analyze the campus’teaching area.living area,leisure area and sports area with Theory of Genius Loci in detail.Spell out the advantages of campus planning which is worth designers to learn,and the disadvantages will use to inform and instruct.
