Ground fissure, as a kind of unique geological disasters, has become the inevitable problems in xi ’an city planning and construction. In recent years, with the xi ’an ground fissures have stabilised and the needs of the development of city, it puts forward new requirements to the use of ground fissure area. xi ’an subway lines,which has been put into operation and under construction,are all crossing the ground fissures, the use of over-ground space of the ground fissures is exploring. Therefore, the research on disaster prevention measures of buildings across ground fissure is particularly urgent in xi ’an region,where ground fissures is intensively distributed,and the study is of important engineering practical value to xi ’an city planning and construction.First, on the basis of summarizing disaster prevention measures of the existing construction engineering across the ground fissure belt, this paper put forward:independent foundation of setting settlement joint, the raft foundation of setting settlement joint, the whole raft foundation of not setting settlement joint and so on three working conditions, it modeling analyses the foundation settlement and deflection of structures across ground fissure adopting different measures on the basis of activity of ground fissures in the next 50 years by using ABAQUS finite element software.Secondly, considering the influence of the uneven settlement caused by ground fissure activity to the reinforcement of the structure across ground fissure of setting settlement joint measures and design reinforcement for them.Finally, dynamic time-history analysis was carried out on the structure of setting settlement joint measures by using the finite element software MIDAS. According tothe analysis result, it compares the seismic performances of structures across gound fissure of different measures, and determines the raft foundation of setting settlement joint is the best technical measures, this provides the reference for the security of engineering construction across xi’an ground fissure area.
