Since reform and opening, highway construction business in China have developedrapidly, but with the rapid development of highway construction business in China, theproblems of pavement maintenance had emerged gradually at the same time. After so manyyears’ usage, the asphalt mixture pavement surface course during early age had thinned outand aged. The pavement had appeared many diseases, such as net-shaped cracks, settlement,rutting, folding and so on. With these diseases extending gradually, the security of driving hasbeen seriously influenced.ThisthesisinvolveshowtoreceivetheHot in-place recycling onthebaseofShanxi Provinceexpressway.Whether reuse of old asphalt mixture is related to evaluation of aging.Firstly the original asphalt pavement were sampled and separation, and extraction of the collected samples detected penetration of asphalt and aggregate gradation and the physical indicators, which can determine the characteristics of old pavement asphalt mixture.In view ofa large amount of smokeoccurred in the construction process oftheHot in-place recycling, not only affect the construction environment, but also have a certain influence on the health of the workers at the site, so on site thermal regeneration heating equipment was studied.At the same time, the performance and design method of high grade asphalt pavement have been studies by many tests. Last, based on the asphalt pavement maintenance, the thesis analyzes construction method、construction procedure of Hot in-place recycling and the critical technologies of Hot in-place recycling.
