With the accelerating of urbanization construction, urban population explosion leads to the lack of urban drinking water more and more serious. The automation degree and operation efficiency of traditional pumping station are low, and it unable to meet the urban water supply needs. The pumping station integrated automation monitoring system can effectively improve the operation efficiency of the pumping station by its equipment control and scheduling management function, and thus can help to alleviate the shortage of the urban drinking water.With provincial key water conservancy project of Dongjiang and reservoir networking engineering as background, this dissertation designs the pumping station integrated automation monitoring system based on SIEMENS PLC and WinCC. The system uses PC+PLC control model as the overall architecture, and the host PLC, and uses redundant configuration in the host PLC, host computer data server, communication channel and other key parts. Local equipment failure will not result in system downtime, which means the system has a high safety factor. In addition, the system has fault diagnosis function and a good Human-Machine Interactive Interface. The main contributions are summarized as follows:(1) This dissertation investigates the State of development and trends of pumping station automation monitoring system, and combines with the engineering background and functional requirements using hierarchical control model of PC+PLC architecture.(2) According to the high performance requirement for system controller and high speed rate requirement for communication, this dissertation selects the lower machine control network of SIEMENS PLC and industrial Ethernet, and completes the PLC hardware configuration, I/O address allocation and relevant control programming of main pumps and other public auxiliary systems.(3) According to the convenience and security requirements for the PC monitoring function, this dissertation completes the configuration of monitoring function modules on the WinCC platform. The function modules include Human-Machine Interactive Interface, alarming system and security policy.(4) According to the reliability requirement for the system communication, this dissertation establishes S7 redundant communication connection between the host PLC and Winch is based on Ethernet, and common Ethernet(TCP/IP) connection between the auxiliary PLC and WinCC.(5) This dissertation uses S7-PLCSIM simulation software to simulate the function of the monitoring system, and completes the configuration and tests of on-site system, and proposes system improvement program and future research directions.The system has been put into use in pumping station, and it runs well. The control of the total amount water supply and management of pumping equipment function are achieved, and the operation efficiency of the pumping station is improved.
