| We don’t pay attention to safety management for construction workers. Our country has not yet introduced a practical reference value of the guidance. Therefore, this paper researches on sunstroke prevention for construction workers of Guangzhou.Safety accidents were happened cauesd by sunstroke throughout the country in recent years. They not only cause great economic losses, but also cause a large number of casualties.Through field research on Guangzhou construction and literature research, this article partition a year and a day in several times. 5-9 months of the year will be divided into high temperature month, 10-4 month is divided into non high temperature month. 07:00-11:00 is divided into the morning hours of work, 14:00-18:00 is divided into working hours in the afternoon.Field studies were conducted in four different construction sites during the Guangzhou summer of July to August 2015. By using the multiple regression method, the Heat-Stress model suitable for Guangzhou area was developed. A total of 93 sets of meteorological and physiological data collected between July and August of 2015 were collated to derive the optimal recovery time. It was found that on average a worker could achieve 81% recovery in 25 min; 78% in 20 min; 71% in 15 min; 66% in 10 min; 48% in 5 min.Finally, by using Monte Carlo simulation technique, crystal ball and MATLAB software, heat-resistant limit time probability distribution of Guangzhou construction workers can be calculated through Guangzhou meteorological and physiological data are collected. The maximum actual production time under different state of rest are established. An optimized schedule of having a 15 min break after working 120 min continuously in the morning, and having a 20 min break after working 120 min continuously in the afternoon is proposed. The current study has contributed in providing an objective and scientific mechanism to optimize workerest schedule which may benefit the industry to produce solid guidelines for working in hot weather. Through sensitivity analysis calculation, it is concluded that the air quality, drinking habits and age are 3 most influential factors in Guangzhou heat working limit time.At the same time, this paper find out the corresponding strategies to improve the construction productivity. Suggested that the government consider modifying appropriate regulations and adjust time schedule. |
