The Current Situation Of Environmental Protection Of Old Industrial Factory Building Regions In Xi’an And Its Development Research

Xi’an is one of the major central cities in western development. The modern industrial factory building region is an important part of modern industrial heritage in Xi’an. The protection and research of modern industrial factory building regions have a significance for the development of Xi’an city. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct the protection and research of current situation of old industrial factory building regions. Since 1990, the domestic tertiary industry has began to rise. Also, the urban industrial structure has been significantly adjusted so that many old industrial factory building regions faced the unbearable situation of “close, stop, merging and transfer”. For example, many old industrial factory buildings are originally located at the edge of the city, and now become the center of an urban area. They are located in the new areas, but have been set aside because their original production function is lost. Over time, they’re gradually crumbled into ruins, and the dilapidated factory seems to be incompatible with its surrounding modern high-rise buildings.As a result, they have become the encumbrance for the construction of urban environment.Almost such kind of old industrial factory building regions are facing the issues of removing,retaining or reuse. For the valuable old industrial factory building region, people are not yet aware of their real values, and cannot figure out what should be reserved in the end, thus resulting in that a large number of industrial heritages are gradually disappearing. The final destination of these industrial factory building regions which lost production function have been paid much more attention.Firstly, this paper arranges large amounts of relevant books and information and learns from the transformation cases of old industrial factory building regions at home and broad,such as the New York High Line Park which reserved the historical industry sign rail and local plants, and was transformed into a post-industrial leisure landscape with an open space;Another example is the North Duisburg landscape park in Germany Ruhr industrial area. Its industrial building facilities and equipment are reused and transformed into entertainment venues; England Armley Mills are transformed into the Leeds industrial Museum in order to show the textile development history to visitors, etc.Secondly, it integrates and classifies the old industrial factory building regions in Daqing Road industrial park, Hansen Village industrial park and Baqiao industrial park through the investigation of current situation of modern industrial factory building regions which lost the production function in Xi’an, as well as makes an analysis and research of distinctive cases.Again, a site visit is paid to the idle and only existing intact state cotton three plants in Baqiao textile city industrial park, and it also integrates its current situation, as well as makes an interview and survey of surrounding residents in order to propose relevant transformation programs. The author will conduct the artistic processing and recreation of industrial plants and equipment and facilities of representative state cotton three plants, and proposes an appropriate and adequate protection in order to avoid “catching up with fashion” and the over-commercialization reform “like a swarm of bees”, which aims to inject new vigor and vitality into old industrial factories.Finally, it makes a summary of the protection mode of industrial factory building region of state cotton three plants in order to put forward the useful reference strategy for the protection and development of similar old industrial factory building regions in Xi’an and even all over the country, which aims that the old industrial factory building regions with real values can be paid the public attention and achieve a better development.
