Research On The Protection And Reuse Of Industrial Heritage In The Lucky Old Factory Area Of Baoding City

With the development of the social economy,the industrial structure of many cities has undergone changes,with the focus gradually shifting from the secondary industry to the tertiary industry.In addition,a large number of industrial enterprises have encountered financial difficulties or relocated,resulting in the emergence of many industrial heritage sites in urban areas.Currently,China’s urbanization rate has reached a relatively high level,and urban growth has slowed down.The government strictly controls the addition of new construction land in cities and encourages the development and construction of existing land.In this context,the state and local governments have proposed strategies such as urban renewal,demolition and reconstruction,and old city renovation to continue urban construction.Protecting and reusing industrial heritage is one method to explore its value,update and utilize its land and buildings,and continue urban development.The protection and reuse of industrial heritage is urgent and valuable,and it is a problem that needs to be addressed.Based on related research at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the key items in the industrial heritage value evaluation system,and combines with the characteristics of the Lucky old factory area.By using survey questionnaire method and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),quantitative value evaluation is carried out on its industrial heritage,and a value evaluation system for the Lucky old factory area is established to provide a basis for subsequent protection and reuse practices.In addition,POI points of commercial and residential areas within 5 kilometers of the Lucky old factory area are collected,and kernel density analysis is performed.It is found that there are many residential areas around the factory area but lack of commercial areas.Furthermore,based on the positioning and development status of urban planning,a new utilization model for the industrial park is proposed.After summarizing the current situation of Baoding’s industrial heritage and establishing a value evaluation system,the paper analyzes the current situation of the Lucky old factory area in a comprehensive and detailed manner from the aspects of its planning positioning,location,history,internal conditions,and characteristic elements.Therefore,opportunities and problems exist in the protection and reuse of the Lucky old factory area’s industrial heritage.From the perspectives of protection and reuse,this paper proposes corresponding transformation countermeasures in terms of industrial model updating,factory space structure improvement,site optimization,building function updating,building style and facade adjustment,and the expression of characteristic elements.These practices can bring a new appearance and function to the Lucky old factory area.Through the study of the protection and reuse of the industrial heritage in the Lucky old factory area,this paper aims to provide some reference for subsequent relevant research and provide design ideas that can be borrowed for the research of other industrial heritage in China.Promoting the revitalization of old industrial plants,providing new perspectives for urban renewal and industrial transformation and upgrading,promoting urban development,enhancing urban characteristics,and prospering urban culture.
