The Development And Application Of High Polymer Material Using As Anti-rut Agent For Trunk Highway

Most of asphalt pavement in our country used semi-rigid base-asphalt pavement structure, which make a high level of shearing stress in the asphalt pavement, also causingunstable ruts. Ruts has become one of the outstanding diseases of asphalt pavement in many newly built or rebuilt trunk roads, which has a negative impact on traffic safety and road service level.Highmodulus agent material was added in asphalt mixture to improve its anti rutting performance, at the same time, lowdensitypolyethylene(LDPE)has been paid more attentionasanti rutting material of asphalt mixture.The regeneration of LDPE for asphalt mixture cannot only improve the road performance, but also conducive to ease the waste plastics to environment pollution, with good technical and economic benefits and social benefits.Based ontest analysis to the mechanism and influencial factors of rutting in asphalt pavement, the effect of LDPE’s mechanism, for two kinds of easily rutting-formation asphalt mixture AC-13 and AC-20, this paper respectively added three kinds of LDPE particles(new material, primary recycled material, secondary recycled material) into asphalt mixture to preliminary determined the minimum dose for forming the space network structure by doingthe volume parameter test and the splitting experiment. Through indoor rutting test, low-temperature bending test, water-stability test, this paper further analysed and determined the optimum added quantity ofAC-13 and AC-20 asphalt mixture addedthe three kinds of LDPE particles. Then, thefeasibility of LDPE particles used as anti-rutting agent in the asphalt pavement of the trunk roadswas analyzed by comparing with the technical and economic analysis of a kind of anti-rutting agent and SBS modifier.At last, the anti rutting scheme of trunkhighway is proposed and verified by the test road.
