With the continuous development of urbanization in China, urban development is undergoing the transformation from plan of increment to plan of stock. The built-up area’s space environment issue and intensity of land issue are gradually becoming the social focus and academic hot spot. With the establishment of regulatory plan’s legal status, as well as the development of full coverage, layered regulatory plan and other organization technology methods, regulatory plan has provided a good technology platform for the study of intensity of land. As the bearing capacity of space environment is a key factor of Intensity of land, studying the built-up area regulatory plan’s Intensity of land under the bearing capacity of space environment has great significance for determining the scientific and rational intensity of land. This thesis takes the built-up area as the study background, layered regulatory plan as the technology platform to explore the interaction between bearing capacity of space environment and intensity of land, to reveal the constraint mechanism of bearing capacity of space environment to intensity of land, to build the system of quantitative techniques for intensity of land under the constraint of bearing capacity of space environment. Besides Baoji Shangmaying is used as the empirical demonstration to verify the constraint mechanism mentioned above and achieve its application in the planning practice. The main content of this thesis is divided into five parts. The first part( Chapter one) puts forward the research background and origin as well as the research purpose and significance; defines the research object and basic concepts; clears the research content and research method and establishes the research system of the thesis. The second part introduces the related theoretical research(Chapter two), reveals the connotation of ‘bearing capacity of space environment’ and ‘intensity of land; analyze the characteristic of bearing capacity of space environment and intensity of land on the background of urban built-up area and layered regulatory planning technology platform; summarizes the interactive relationship between the bearing capacity of space environment and intensity of land, which lays a theoretical foundation for the following revelation of constraint mechanism and the construction of the constraint method system. The third part(Chapter three) reveals the constraint mechanism. On the basis of the related theoretical studies which mentioned above, spatial level coupling of bearing capacity of space environment and intensity of land was realized on the layered regulatory plan technology platform which reveals the constraint relationship, builds a framework of constraint mechanism between vertically layered transmission and horizontal partition equilibrium, provides the theoretical framework for the following construction of the constraint method system. The forth part(Chapter four) introduces the construction of the evaluation method system. On the basis of the above relevant theories and constraint mechanism, this part constructed the evaluation system of bearing capacity of space environment and established the quantitative model of intensity of land, and realized the implementation of the quantitative evaluation method. The fifth part(Chapter five) is the empirical research. Based on the empirical analysis of the Baoji Shangmaying, the mechanism and method which have been mentioned above are verified, and the application in the actual planning is realized. The last part summarizes the results of this study, points out the limitations of the research and puts forward the prospects in addition.
