Since the reform and opening up, Chinese industrialization and urbanization devilop rapidly, the material civilization is unprecedented prosperous. As pillar industry of the national economy, the construction industry is high pollution and high energy-consuming industry at the same time, in this context, the concept of green building came into being. How to realize the healthy sustainable green building has become the common concerned theme of all countries in the world.Green building in our country has many problems,as starting late, low level, and large regional differences. The development of green building is facing many obstacles. Taking account of the construction industry involving different stakeholders(such as government, development organization, design organization, construction organization), their respective interests, rights and responsibilities exist obvious differences. As a result, analyze the challenges of green building in China from the perspective of stakeholders is necessary.This thesis described the systematic concepts of green building and stakeholders firstly. Based on reading the relevant literature and data, 19 challenges facing Chinese green building of stakeholders were identified from the four aspects as technical-design challenges, economic challenges, socio-cultural challenges and institutional challenges. According to the 19 challenge factors,questionnaire survey was made and investigation was carried out.Then SPSS was used for processing and analyzing the questionnaire data to research descriptive statistical analysis of experts’ background information and views on green building. Cronbach ’s Alpha coefficient(alpha coefficient) was used to test the quality of the data firstly. The mean, median, mode and variance were used to analyze the overall view of experts and the Spearman rank correlation coefficient test was used to test the relationship between each challenge factors. Then accroding to the analysis result of the importance and relevance of the green building challenge factors, 10 key challenges wereestablished. The Kendall ’s concordance test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to test the different views of experts from different units lastly.Then the relationship between the 10 key challenges of green building is established by expert interview. The DEMATEL(Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) was used to build a model, the key challenges of the influence degree, the influenced degree, the center degree, and the reason degree are obtained.Based on the view of main stakeholder accroding to 10 key factors,the position and the role of main stakeholder were obtained. Finally, we put forward the strategy to meet the challenge of each stakeholder, in order to achieve a win-win situation and promote the further development of green building in our country.
