A Study On The Regional Characteristics And Development Trend Of Skiing In Japan

This paper is divided into seven parts, of which the fourth chapter tosixth chapter is focused on the content of the article. From the ski slopes,ski tourism and ski tourists three angles to study of the unique situationand development of ski tourism in Japan.First, a large number of Japanese literature by finishing thedevelopment process of clarifying the Japanese ski tourism into the initialdevelopment period, the first high-speed development period, the secondperiod of rapid development and decline. And summed up six majorfeature of the Japanese ski tourism, that is a combination of skiing andhot springs;"evening-morning" and "Air+City Tour+packaged"tourism product in two forms; skiing has experience with sports doublefeature; particularity professional appliances or equipment to bring someeconomic conditionality; skiing requires a specific time of seasonal andspatial conditions; ski tourism space with natural and cultural duality.Secondly, use the mapping software to demonstrated the spatialdistribution of ski slope and evolution clearly in Japan. From a globalperspective of Japan, the spatial distribution of ski slope is from north ofJapan’s that Hokkaido and basically across the entire Japanesearchipelago, finally to the south of Japan ’s Miyazaki Prefecture, in the38prefectures wide areas scattered distribution. Especially inmountainous of southwestern of Japan likes Kyushu, Shikoku, Chinaareas,they all have some ski slopes. From a local perspective, the skiareas are concentrated in eastern Japan and the area located on the side ofthe Sea of Japan. And expounded the spatial distribution of ski slope inNagano, Niigata, Northeast areas and Hokkaido.thirdly, through the analysis of two methods of spatial analysis andtrend to research on the Japanese ski tourists characteristics in space andfuture trends.Found that ski tourists concentrated in Nagano, NiigataPrefecture and Hokkaido. Meanwhile, the metropolitan area, Nagoyaring and Kyohanshin ring also focused on the distribution of a large metropolitan area accounts for nearly half of the ski tourists; whilethrough the development trend of Japanese tourists come to conclusionsthat Japanese ski tourism in recession and will continue it. Because ofwomen have a lot of leisure time on ski tourism,at the same time,theelderly after retirement have plenty of leisure time and enough pensionsto meet the needs of ski tourism, so the property of tourists in the skirecession that the proportion of young people continued to decline, whilethe proportion of women and elderly people is increasing, finally formeda turn that is women,elderly people and young people.Finally, from the age structure of the ski tourists, developmentprocess of the ski tourism, intense competition from other industries andother aspects to discussed on the reasons for ski tourism recession.
