Research On Peasant Workers' Citizenization Based On Employment Perspective

Urbanization is an essential stage of one country’s economic development.China’s urbanization process is developing steadily，the level of urbanization has beensignificantly increased. But the quality of China’s urbanization is poor, which showsthat urbanization fall behind industrialization, and urbanization of population fallbehind urbanization of land. The government pays high attention to improve thequality of urbanization. Citizenization is the essence and goal of urbanization whichcan promote labor market’s unification, national economy’s development and newurbanization’s construction. This thesis researches related problems from theperspective of employment with method of document analysis, comparative analysis,static analysis, and dynamic analysis.In the first part, the thesis presents literature research achievements both at homeand abroad. In the second part, the thesis points out that employment is a prerequisiteof the migrant rural workers’ citizenization, improvement of the quality ofemployment can promote the migrant rural workers’ citizenization. In part three, thethesis summarizes working condition of the migrant rural workers: insensitiveinformation transfer, long work hours, high labor intensity, inadequate workingconditions, low income level, lack of stability, and lack of organization. And the thesisanalyses the reasons that job opportunity can’t meet the demand, the societydiscriminates the migrant rural workers, information transfer is insensitive,Investment in human capital is deficiency. With the summarization of other countries’experience the thesis suggests eliminate discrimination, increase employmentopportunities, establish information mechanism, strengthen education and train,support entrepreneurship.The paper’s innovation point is its thesis that research the migrant rural workers’citizenization based on the perspective of employment. And its deficiency is lack ofquantification which is the research direction in the future.
