Research On The Function Reengineering Of Science And Technology Societies In The Period Of Independent Innovation

The Freedom of Association is the important organization pattern of human social life. It is the symbol of significant development of modern civilization of human beings. The Scientific Community, as an important pattern of the Freedom of Association, is founded on the natural sciences, technological sciences, engineering and related scientific disciplines in our country. Its functions are to promote the development of science and technology, academic prosperity and science popularization. It is one of the social organizations which has been greatly encouraged and supported by our country.With the recent development of society, people are appealing to the reformation of the Scientific and Technical Community. In terms of the survey conducted by China Association for Science and Technology,67%of the surveyed people considered that the academic organization, the most important part of Scientific and Technical Community, can’t adapt to the current situations,and it has to be reformed.In respond to the expectations of the Ecological Niche, I suppose the reformation of Scientific and Technical Community during the Innovation period should achieve the following16function orientations:academic exchange, interdisciplinary research, science popularization, personnel training, decision making consulting, science and technology services, science and technology evaluation, science and technology award, organization and mobilization, the communication and coordination with the Party and government, the participation in the management of State affairs, Policy-making participation, group representation, the membership service, the organization of self-discipline, the culture construction.
