Research On Cost Management Of Software Development Project

With the rapid development of information technology, software companies played an increasingly important role in the high-tech industry. For the enterprises purpose, software project management is a necessarily condition for standardized production and to improve the development efficiency, which will reflects the comprehensive production capacity of the software companies. Improvement of software productivity is to ensure the sustainable development of the companies, and the way to improve the enterprise competitiveness. Cost management as an important part of project management is an essential management tool of software companies which can effectively help the companies to save the cost, improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.As the subordinate professional IT company of a large state-owned group, was selected as a case study because of it’s own characheristics. Mainly in the process of software development, cost control has not been formed a fixed and effective mode, resulting in the company cost increase scale. This research article is to explore the suitable methods for A company’s software development cost management system, to strengthen cost management and provide some reference and guidance for the other companies.This article firstly summarize the theory and documents related to the software project cost management, and then we processed the on-site investigation in A company, analyzed the software project cost management situation, selected 27 projects as the sample data, summarized the main problems existing in software development and project cost management, and finally combining with the practice in A company, from improving the budget system, the implementation of full caliber accounting, integrated salary incentive system and the establishment of put forward a set of cost management is the core of the comprehensive control scheme of four aspects of agile development methods. This article adopted the method of literature combination, data analysis and practical investigation, innovatively introduced advanced international management and agile development method of earned value project management.
