Research On The Work - Related Insurance Of Migrant Workers In China From The Perspective Of Fairness And Justice

With the accelerated pace of urbanisation and industrialisation, step of life of many farmers who live on the land is moving towards the cities since1980’s. Recent30years, migrant workers have been the main force of city construction and development and have made large contribution to the development of China’s economy. In the mean time, they caused a lot of social problems. Because of the limitation of various occupation conditions, most of migrant workers are engaged in building, mining, manufacturing and services. The nature of their work most are high-risk, high-intensity, as well as the big fluidity of themselves, their rights and interests are not guaranteed once there is accident.To solve and guarantee migrant worker’s survival and development rights, and to establish and improve migrant worker’s industrial injury insurance system favors the coordination of urban and rural development and maintenance of society’s stability and unity. From the perspective of fairness and justice, this paper analyses the current status of domestic and foreign industrial injury insurance in Xi’an as an example. This paper proposes the solution of improvement of migrant worker’s industrial injury insurance through analysing the problem of migrant worker’s industrial injury insurance and its coping strategy, finally in order to effectively strengthen and improve migrant worker’s industrial injury insurance.
