| India is the largest country with fastest growing economy in South Asia.Yunnan Province is one of the nearest provinces of China to India, has a natural advantage to trade with India.In the background of that the economic globalization and the regional economic integration is deepening,Yunnan Province seize the western development and the bridgehead strategy to broaden the breadth and depth. With the development of Yunnan’s foreign trade, the trade cooperation between Yunnan and India also has been a breakthrough,India has become an important trading partner of Yunnan Province.While the trade between Yunnan and India had rapidly development,the bilateral trade volume accounted for the proportion of their total trade is still low,and it is very inconsistent with their advantages.In view of this situation,this paper from the perspective of Yunnan Province,analyzes the current situation of trade between Yunnan and India,using Degree of Trade Connection、Index of Revealed Comparative Advantage-. Trade Complementarity Index and Export Similarity Index to study the trade between Yunnan and India and concluded:First,Yunnan and India’s Degree of Trade Connection is declining, indicating that the trade links is not close;Second, Yunnan and India in SITC-0 class food and live animals, SITC-5 class of chemicals and related products, n.e.s., SITC-6 class manufactured goods classified chiefly by material have the same comparative advantage,and the export structure of both is very similar, indicating there has trade competitive between Yunnan and India.Third,although Yunnan and India have competition on certain goods,their complementary is higher than competitive,their trade cooperation has broad prospects.Last,based on the analysis results, and contact various factors which impact the trade between Yunnan and India,this paper put forward relevant suggestions to promote trade cooperation between Yunnan and India. |
