Study On The Optimization Of Recreational Space Structure Of Qintong Ancient Town In Jiangsu Province

With the development of the economy and the living conditions, our demand for recreation has been increased.Old towns, as the creational sites, has attracted lots of travelers with their poetic architecture features, long-standing history and culture and unvanished folk customs.Qin tong old town, both a famous historical and cultural town of China and national famous tourism town, is not only the daily recreational place for the local citizens, but also one of the famous places for the outside people. The recreational place of the old town is the important region for the travellers’ activities. Therefore, the spatial structures of the old town decides the actions and efficiency of the spatial usage among the travelers.Based on multi-subject theories, the author of this thesis has done a long-term researches in October, November and December of 2014 and January and February of 2015. during this time, the author has collected the data, made questionaries and analyzed the space environment, layout and category of punctiform recreational space, overall arrangement and accessibility and intelligibility of linear recreational space and travellers’ recreational behavior and their evaluation on degree of satisfication by means of mathematical statistics, the software of space syntax and SPSS. Based on the practical problems existed in the recreational space structure of Qin tong old town, this paper puts forward optimized model for the spatial structure and a prospect for the research in the future. It finds out optimized models for space environment which is centered on folk customs and based on nature and transportation improvement for the recreational space environment of Qin tong old town. According to punctiform and recreational space, it suggested a optimized model of demand-orientation. As to the linear recreational space, the model is to balance the two whole development.
