Since the reform and opening,in China,economic development promotes the process of the urbanization,the urbanization also changes economy and society.With the rapid economic development and development of urbanization,the income of urban and rural residents in China had improved significantly,but it is expanding about overall income gap between urban and rural residents.The phenomenon of widening income gap between urban and rural residents has aroused widespread concern in society and it is a hot research topic in the academic field.There are many reasons for the expansion of the overall income gap in China,the expansion of urban-rural income gap is the biggest influence factors.In order to solve the problem of income gap between urban and rural areas effectively,we need to analyze the structure of the income gap between urban and rural residents.Under the background of urbanization, this paper analyzes the influence of urbanization on urban-rural income structural inequality, based on the results of previous studies.The main content of this paper as follows.The first chapter is the introduction, which summarizes the background and significance of the study,the research status of urban-rural income structure at home and abroad,and the framework of the paper.The second chapter is an overview of the relevant theory,which elaborates definition about urbanization and urban-rural income structural inequality,simply resumes income theory, dual economic theory, institution and institutional change theory,and analyzes the relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income structure.The third chapter is the analysis of the urban-rural income structural inequality,there are made a statistical analysis of the income structure of urban residents and rural residents in China respectively, and this paper find out inequality existed in various income of urban and rural residents.On the basis of those, from the perspective of institutional economics, the paper analyzes the reasons that may cause urban-rural income structural inequality,which include urban and industrial prioritized strategy,the urban bias about finance and tax system,the dual household registration system,different property rights in urban and rural areas and the city bias social security and education system.The fourth chapter is the empirical analysis of the impact urbanization on urban-rural income structural inequality,based on the Vector Auto Regression Model model,the unit root test, co integration test, Granger causality test and impulse response analysis are done.The fifth chapter is the countermeasures and suggestions, according to the third chapter,this chapter put forward some corresponding countermeasures.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,those conclusion as follows. It is different that main factors effect on various income gap of urban-rural residents.A series of urban biased policies is the institutional reasons that cause the emergence of urban-rural income structural inequality in China.The urban-rural income gap shows an expanding trend with the improvement of the level of urbanization.The income gap, including the wage income, operating income, property income and transfer income, has a co-integration relationship with the level of urbanization.To solve the problem of the urban-rural income gap requires a combination of induced institutional change and forced institutional change.
