Research On The Impact Of Urbanization On The Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Residents In Sichuan Province

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Urbanization Work Conference,and based on the National New Urbanization Plan(2014-2020),combined with the actual situation in Sichuan Province,the Government of SICHUAN has formulated a series of measures to comprehensively improve the quality of urbanization and narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas.The plan is to implement the national “three hundred million people” urbanization work as the entrance,adhere to the urbanization of people as the core,and follow the new urbanization road in line with the actual situation in Sichuan.As an integrated carrier,urbanization is of great significance to the implementation of the rural reform strategy,promoting the coordinated development of large,medium and small cities and small towns,and narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas.The first part of the paper is an introduction.The second part is the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts,mainly including urbanization,new urbanization,the concept of local urbanization,urbanization in different places,and the concept of urban-rural income gap.The third part analyzes the impact of urbanization on the urban-rural income gap from a qualitative perspective.Firstly,we have reviewed the development process of China's urbanization: from 1995 to 2012,it was mainly the urbanization development road with urbanization as the main mode;after 2012,it was the urbanization road with local urbanization as the main development model.Then theoretical analysis of urbanization from the perspectives of population,economy and environmental services.The fourth part quantitatively analyzes the impact of urbanization in Sichuan Province on the urban-rural income gap.Firstly,using statistical data to analyze the urbanization and urban-rural income gap in Sichuan Province from 1997 to 2016,and then establish a VAR model to analyze the impact of local urbanization on the urban-rural income gap,and use the stata measurement software to test the model from population,economy and environment.The three aspects of service analyze the income gap between urban and rural residents on the local urbanization and its impact on the transfer income gap,property income gap,wage income gap,and operating income gap.In general,Local urbanization can inhibit the expansion of the urban-rural income gap.The last part is related policy recommendations.This paper believes that from the perspective of population transfer,we should improve the quality of population transfer and broaden the employment channels;from the perspective of economic structure,we should rationally plan the rural industrial structure and improve the taxation system;from the perspective of environmental services,we should make rational use of land resources and improve the quality of education.Improve the level of urbanization development,thereby narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas.
