The Study On Foreign Direct Investment To Promote The Transformation And Epgrading Of Industrial Structure In Chengdu

With the gradual implementation and deepening of the development of western regions,the opening-up level of Chengdu has increased continuously,the influx of foreign investment would impact on Chengdu economic development gradually.Up to 268 companies which come from the world’s top five hundred enterprises has settled in Chengdu so far.This companies result in the capital formation and the connection of industrial,all of this effect to positive development of industrial.In this case,Studying the relationship between foreign direct investment and Chengdu industry development,analysing the effect of FDI on the industrial structure is meaningful.This thesis is of great theoretical significance in police-making for the government about that how the FDI can promote industrial structure transformation.This article combines comparative analysis,qualitative and quantitative analysis and empirical analysis,uses the International trade theory, International Investment Study and Econometrics,analyze the relation between FDI and industrial structure in Chengdu.At first,the first chapter illustrates the background and purpose of the article,put forward the theory foundation of the relationship between FDI and industrial structure,and describes the present development of study on the relationship by scholars all over the world.The second chapter analyses which roles the capital,markets and technology played in the transformation of industrial structure.In chapter 3 and chapter 4,article combed the present situation of the industrial structure of Chengdu and the overall situation of FDI in the passed 20 years.Then this paper establishes an econometric model based on the distribution of FDI over the last decade in different industries and different trades to analyze the correlation between FDI and the three industries.At the same time,we draw a conclusion from the analysis,realize the positive and negative influence of the relationship,then raise the questions about the article.At last, according to above analyses,this article gave some suggestions to the problems that appeared in industrial restructuring and upgrading.
