International Space Station(ISS) is a long run spacecraft for the astronauts living and working in near-Earth orbit, with the features of weightlessness and cleanness. It is conducive-environment to carry out projects of space exploration, astronomy and other research, with a very large economic and social benefits.Indexing Mechanism(IM) played a key role in the process of building an ISS, which is of importance for docking pods, translocation and completion.The significant temperature changes in space raise a severe test to IM of structural design and motion reliability. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a ground testing system for the space station IM, to evaluate its reliability in high temperature environment of the transitbit process in temperature performance and complete its comprehensive performance testing.Flywheel is used in a rotary motion in a mechanical device for storing rotational kinetic energy, an integral part of IM inertia simulation system, and the key to physical inertia simulation.Which is analyzed according to ANSYS Workbench by the design parameters in terms of its static analysis, modal analysis, and its safety.External parts can be unreliable subjected to extremely high or low temperatures, because of the operating temperature of IM approx.-60 ℃ ~ 80 ℃, high temperature box inside and outside presence during the test the temperature difference, and the occurrence of heat conduction phenomenon. This dissertation is to analyze the test system drive shaft thermal.The primary shaft model heat transfer with the Steady-State Thermal module of ANSYS Workbench, correlation analysis with statistical software, and to filter out the factors that most affect heat transfer.In response to these factors, it is of analysis of the drive shaft assembly model for heat transfer analysis, using forced convection heat flow around a cylinder heat coupling theory, simulation CFX two methods shaft forced convection heat transfer, quantitative of the gas flow rate and heat transfer relationship.Starting torque is the friction torque which the system starts to overcome. Starting torque of the test system are mainly from two parts: the friction torque between the flotation turntable and flywheel and growth startup friction torque.Start frictional torque is an important indicator to evaluate its performance and analyze sources of growth, by the size and distribution of the starting frictional torque in different situations with experimentally determined under gearbox.
