Objective: In actual production, there are many problems in sows reproductive performance, which result in a high rate of sows eliminated, short life and other issues. Such as slow-estrus or non-estrus, abortion, delayed childbirth, low earners live, no milk or less, etc. To solve these problems and improve the sows reproductive capacity, we combined sows reproductive characteristics, took the self-made Chinese herbal compound added to sows diets, observed its effects on different reproductive stages sows. All the jobs are just to improve the economic efficiency of sows. Methods: Test1: Selected30gilts who were not obvious estrus, divided into three experimental groups, Namely: group1(diets+0.4%self-made traditional Chinese medicine), group2(antibiotic group), group3(control group); while selected another30multifarious sows who were anomalies estrus, same with gilts grouped, medication period was10d.Observed and recorded the number of sows in estrus, breaded, birth litter size, weaning to estrus days and so on. Test2: Select30pregnant sows who were consistent childbirth time and parity, divided into three experimental groups, namely: group a (diets+0.4%self-made traditional Chinese medicine), group b (antibiotic group), group c (control group). Medication period was from7d period before birth to lactation cap5d. Observed and recorded the circumstances of each group farrowing and calving situations. Test3: Selected30pregnant sows who were consistent childbirth time and parity, divided them into three experimental groups, namely: group A (diets+0.4%self-made traditional Chinese medicine), group B (antibiotic group), group C(control group). Medication period was from the first day of lactation to section28d.Observed and recorded sows feed intake, litter born alive, healthy litter size; piglet birth weight, head counts and litter weights at various stages. Calculated each stage daily gain, average daily milk yield of sows, and gilts economic.Results:(1) Effect of the self-made Chinese herbal compound on estrus in sows: diets with0.4%self-made traditional Chinese medicine possibly to improve estrus rate, and traditional Chinese medicine group gilts estrus rate is1.3times the antibiotic group; estrus gilts and sows are mainly concentrated in cap5~15d after administration; pregnancy litter production, litter born alive showed a growing trend.(2) Effect of the self-made Chinese herbal compound on parturition farrowing: In pregnant sows prenatal and postnatal added0.4%self-made Chinese herbal compound, the production process was significantly shorten, piglet birth weight and weaning weight were improved, weaning survival rates was improved and diarrhea rates was reduced, the number born alive was improved9.9%than the antibiotic group.(3) Effect of the self-made Chinese herbal compound on lactating sows lactation performance: from birth to weaning, feed the0.4%self-made Chinese herbal compound into the diets, sows feed intake and milk production could be increased; piglet daily average weight gain and weaning weight were compared with a control group improved by26.3%and21.7%,diarrhea rate was significantly lower, weaning survival rate was1.06times the antibiotic group; sows economic benefits were up2.5%compared to the antibiotic group.Conclusion:0.4%self-made Chinese herbal compound was added in different stages of breeding sows dietary can effectively improve economic efficiency of breeding sows, improve the grows performance of the piglets, before and after childbirth, lactation stage using effect were more obvious.
