At present, the main means applied in dogs in clinical surgery anesthesia with local anesthesia and general anesthesia, compound anesthesia, the larger the side effects of general anesthesia, regional anesthesia maintenance time is shorter, and the compound anesthesia because of its fast effective and stable anesthesia, come to the advantages of short time was widely used in clinical study of dogs. Compound anesthesia in the previous research mainly adopts inhalation anesthesia with intravenous anesthesia compound way, cannot achieve ideal result, this research adopts the intravenous anesthesia and epidural anesthesia compound, the method of compound anesthetic for dogs to provide a new way of thinking.This study by canine as experimental animals, and divided into two groups:group Ⅰ propofol combined with epidural lidocaine(amount of propofol induction anesthetic6mg·kg-1, maintenance dose0.4mg·kg-1min-1kg-1·min-1, after anesthesia stability, epidural injections lidocaine6mg·kg-1); group Ⅱ Continuous venous infusion of propofol(amount of propofol induction anesthetic6mg·kg-1, maintenance dose0.71±0.6mg·kg-1·min-1), after anesthesia stability for abdominal surgery. Every function is monitored with respiratory monitor and ICU monitor in the procedure of experiment, and effect of compound anesthesia, post-operation analgesia and effect of inflammation are examined, thus feasibility of propofol compound epidural anesthesia of canine will be explored, which lay the foundation for propofol compound anesthesia in clinical surgery of canine.The results indicated:Compared with pure propofol, propofol combined with epidural anesthesia group had a better effect that was the effect of analgesia, sedation and muscle relaxant was well; Less impact on biological reflex, the change of temperature (T), heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (RR) were stable, and all within the physiological range; Oxygen saturation (SpO2), mean arterial pressure (MAP) was decreased tendency, but the varies within a small range; Tidal volume (TV), ventilation (MV) and respiratory rate (RR) had declined, but these changes were within the range of physiological tolerance of canine; Compared with pure propofol, pain index of combined anesthesiagroup changed little, performance that substance P (SP), bradykinin (BK), prostaglandin (PG), histamine (HIS) first increased and then decreased; Changing of inflammatory that the content of tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-1(IL-1), interleukin-8(IL-8) in serum were first increased and then decreased, but the smaller the magnitude of the change in the physiological tolerance range.Comprehensive results showed that propofol combined with epidural anesthesia group can achieve better effect of anesthesia and analgesia, the inhibition of respiratory function is small, less changes of pain and inflammatory indicators, these had contributed to complete abdominal surgery and had no adverse reaction.
