Effect Of Electroacupuncture Combined With Epidural Anesthesia On Canine Anesthesia

Compound anesthesia is widely used in clinic because of its quick onset,stable anesthesia and short recovery time.Compared with traditional drug combined anesthesia,acupuncture anesthesia can reduce the dosage of drugs and reduce the side effects of drug anesthesia.By comparing the simple electroacupuncture anesthesia,epidural anesthesia and electroacupuncture combined with epidural anesthesia,detecting and analyzing various physiological and pain indicators during anesthesia,the effect of electroacupuncture combined with epidural anesthesia was discussed,and providing certain data reference for the compound anesthesia of dogs.In this study,we compared the effect of electroacupuncture anesthesia on Baihui-Houhai,Shenshu-Sanyinjiao and Tianmen-Baihui acupoints.The best acupoint prescription was selected.The dogs were divided into three groups according to different anesthetic methods: A group(electroacupuncture anesthesia group),B group(epidural anesthesia group)and C group(electroacupuncture combined with epidural anesthesia group).Among A group,the electroacupuncture was under frequency 2,strength 1,continuous wave.After inducing for 10 min,continuous electroacupuncture 30 min was performed;2% lidocaine solution was injected into canine lumbar spinal epidural at 0.1m L/kg dose in B group.C group was administered 0.1 m L/kg 2% lidocaine solution in lumbar spinal epidural on the base of electroacupuncture anesthesia,which was frequency2,strength 1,continuous wave.Monitoring and analysis of canine body temperature,respiratory frequency,heart rate,pulse,mean arterial pressure,biological reflex,analgesic effect,serum pain-causing substances(P substances,bradykinin,prostaglandin,histamine)during anesthesia.Results :(1)In the acupoint screening test,all groups had no significant difference in physiological indexes and basic values in anesthesia(P > 0.05).When prescribing Sanyinjiao-Shenshu and Tianmen-Baihui,analgesic score was significantly higher than base value(P < 0.05).When using Tianmen-Baihui as acupoint prescription,the change rate of pain threshold was significantly higher than that of other groups(P < 0.05).(2)In the experiment of electroacupuncture combined with epidural anesthesia,there was no significant difference in physiological indexes and basic values between dogs in A、B group(P > 0.05).The body temperature of C group decreased significantly during anesthesia(P < 0.05)while the changes in other physiological indicators were not significant(P > 0.05).The physiological indexes of each group were within the tolerance range during anesthesia.The analgesic score of B、C group was significantly higher than that of A group(P < 0.01).Heart rate and mean arterial pressure were not significant before and after pain stimulation(P > 0.05).The concentration of P substances in A group decreased significantly(P < 0.05).The concentration of P substances,bradykinin and histamine in B group decreased significantly(P < 0.05).The concentration of P substances,bradykinin,prostaglandin and histamine in C group decreased significantly(P < 0.05),and its inhibitory effect on reflex activity was better than that of A、B group.Conclusion:When Tianmen-Baihui is used as acupoint prescription,the anesthetic effect is the best.Electroacupuncture combined with epidural anesthesia can achieve ideal anesthetic and analgesic effect.Compared with electroacupuncture or epidural anesthesia,it can inhibit reflex activity and pain-causing substances.
