Pueraria thomsonii Benth., also known as Gange, is a kind of leguminosae plant. It is a traditional medicinal and edible plant. In order to study the effects of shaping on yield and products, the research on the yield, starch content, rutin content of the Pueraria thomsonii Benth. has been studied in the following four aspects:1. Remaining one branch, whose plant height was the highest, which was significantly different from the other two. The pueraria thomsonii Benth remaining two branches, the yield was the highest. When Pueraria thomsonii Benth retained three branches, weight of above-part of pueraria thomsonii Benth. was the highest. Remaining one branch, soluble protein content, content of starch, fiber content of Pueraria thomsonii Benth. was the highest, and soluble protein content, content of starch was significantly different from the other two. Remaining two branches, soluble sugar content and flavonoids content was the highest, soluble sugar content was not significantly different from the other two, flavonoids content was different from remaining two branches, was not different from remaining three branches.2. Remaining two roots, whose steam crude was the highest, which was significantly different from the other two. Remaining three roots, whose weight of above-part and yield was the highest, and weight of above-part was significantly different from the other two. Remaining two roots, whose soluble sugar content and fiber content was the highest, which was significantly different from the other two. Remaining three roots, whose soluble protein content, content of starch and flavonoids content was the highest, and soluble protein content, content of starch was significantly different from the other two.3. Remaining three roots and three branch, whose yield was the highest. Remaining three roots and two branches, whose starch content was the highest. Remaining one roots and two branches, whose fiber content was the lowest. Remaining three roots and three branches, whose Flavonoids was the highest.4.Research on pruning and repairing roots suggests that as a kind of crop, Pueraria thomsonii Benth. should be used a shaping way of three roots and a root, which was benefit for the accumulation and increasing the yield, as a kind of medicinal plants, Pueraria thomsonii Benth. should be planted as a way of three roots and three branches, which benefits the whole flavonoid synthesis and increases the medicinal value.
