Spike Lavender is a plant of the genus Labiatae, which color is rich, elegant and romantic. It is water-saving, tolerant to drought, easy to be managed and of high ornamental value which also suitable for planting in a vast area. Central Inner Mongolia belongs to semi-arid climate, alkaline ash calcium soil which light and heat resources is suitable for the cultivation of Spike Lavender. Spike Lavender has a high landscape value, ecological value, economic value and social value. Not only can promote the development of economy, but also can realize social benefits, economic benefit and ecological benefit. Therefore it is suitable for the growth of research Culture medium and fertilizer concentration to provide the scientific basis for the introduction and promotion of the grow in large in the region.In this paper, single-factor test and L16(44) orthogonal experiment, a total of16tests, each test three repeats. The four factors are the concentration of fertilizing, irrigation, cultivation medium. Focuses on the different Culture medium in.spike lavender survival, thus select suitable and unsuitable for cultivation of spike lavender growing of compound proportion. And through the study of different fertilizer concentration effect on growth biomass indexes of spike lavender plant height, ground diameter, root length, rootlets, fresh weight and dry weight of above-ground and below-ground and seedling index, to obtain the suitable fertilizer concentration of spike lavender grow.The main results are as follows:(1)If the spike lavender survival rate, seeding index, plant height, ground diameter, fresh weight of above-ground are relatively superior level, its growth conditions should be no fertilization, irrigation cycle for3days, the irrigation amount was600mm, substrate preparation ratio4:4:2(soil:clay:humic acid fertilizer).(2) The changes of pH between8.03-8.31in cultivation medium of spike lavender, indicating fertilization and irrigation of the PH change matrix plays an important role, making it alkaline.(3) In case of no fertilizer, organic matter content decreased significantly; After fertilization the organic matter content has decreased smaller than no fertilizer indicating fertilization on organic matter content of the culture medium to maintain the relative play a stabilizing role.(4)The available nitrogen content almost unchanged in culture medium, the test proved that nitrogen to meet the needs of spike lavender growing in cultivation medium, no additional nitrogen fertilizer in the seeding growth process.(5)Spike lavender of1-year-old seedings for high available phosphorus and available potassium needs, spike lavender seedings of1year old should be more phosphate and potassium fertilizer to promote its growth.(6)From the survival situation of spike lavender, spike lavender grown most inappropriate compound proportion of cultivation medium is3:6:1(sand:clay:fertilizer).(7)When the fertilizer concentration reaches2000ppm it will inhibit the growth of spike lavender, even produce fertilizer damage; Fertilizer concentration range conducive spike lavender height growth of200ppm-1500ppm. This paper also concluded that fertilization to spike lavender ground diameter’s growth also plays a promoting role.(8)Spike lavender root length growth are increasing with concentrations fertilizer, while spike lavender rootlets are less with increasing fertilizer concentration.
