Nowadays, each city is trying hard to be provincial or national garden city, in which situation, the three afforestation index of urban greenland ratio, green area coverage rate and per capita green area is constantly increasing. We witness the continuous increase of urban greenland area, at the same time, we have to see those previous excellent greenland projects are facing the degradation problems, such as tree’s poor growth, bald lawn, overgrown with weeds, soil exposure, etc. Case by Yiwu city, based on the research of some cities in Zhejiang province such as Hangzhou and Jiaxing city’s management and maintenance for greenland, it compared each city’s management and maintenance’s development feature, analyzed Yiwu’s strategies of management and maintenance for greenland and the problem existed in detail, further proposed the solution and suggestions, and put forward management and maintenance for greenland’s development trend so as to offer reference for other cities.According to plan, Yiwu Garden Bureau takes measures against each greenland, such as technical guidance, management by dividing area, increase in supervision and assessment, routine inspection, special inspection and so on, to achieve the goal of up-to-standard greenland maintenance and create favorable public spaces and garden view. On the basis of analysis Yiwu’s management and maintenance for greenland’s historical changes, it summed up three strategies of management and maintenance——market maintenance mode, responsibility maintenance mode, direct maintenance mode, analyzed the pros and cons and further point out, in short time, domestic strategies of management and maintenance will tend to market-oriented unified management, and in the long term, it will be transformed to be a more eco-efficient strategies.
