Water conservancy is the lifeblood of agriculture, and agriculture is related to people’s livelihood. In recent years, China has carried out a series of plans, such as supporting large and medium-sized irrigated district and water-saving transformation and high standard farmland demonstration base, which aim to improve the efficiency and benefits of the irrigation water use coefficient. Large irrigation district of Hebei province is one of the most important product base of food and farmland in north China. Irrigation district of agriculture occupies an important position in the economic development of He bei province. In order to set up efficient and typical demonstration farmland in Hebei province, and further to improve the irrigation water conservation engineering measures, technical measures and management measures of large irrigation district in Hebei province. In this study, by collecting the calculation methods and research of irrigation water use coefficient, selecting Yehe Datong irrigation district of Hebei province as the study district, discusses the measurement of the sample irrigation district and typical field’s irrigation water use coefficient. At the same time, other large irrigation district were combined to estimate the irrigation water use coefficient of large irrigation district of He bei province as the water weighing method was used.What were involved in the research contents and results were as follows:(1)The study of irrigation water use coefficient of determination and calculation method.In this study. The different determination and calculation methods of irrigation water use coefficient were analyzed, include fore and aft flow calculation method, the effective utilization coefficient of canal water coefficient of different testing method and the effective use of field water testing method. For different irrigation district, as the different irrigation canal system, management system, human resources and financial resources, suitable determination of the irrigation district of irrigation water use coefficient method were took. The fore and aft flow calculation method were used in Ye he irrigation district.(2)The select of sample irrigation district and the calculation of irrigation water use coefficient. At present, Hebei province has a total of 15 large irrigation district. Each sample irrigation district were select from all large irrigation district in the test, namely the number of sample irrigation district is the number of large irrigation district. Then based on the principles of selecting typical plots in the sample irrigation district, with the corresponding measurement method to measure the typical plots in annual net irrigation water use, combined with other data analysis and calculation of typical field sample dosage of net irrigation in irrigation district, and then to sample irrigation years net irrigation water use and irrigation water use, on the basis of analysis and calculation sample irrigation water use coefficient. In combination with other large irrigation district data of Hebei province. By analysis the influence factors of irrigation water use coefficient, put forward measures to improve irrigation water use coefficient.
