The shortage of the traditional two-dimensional greening indicators was made up for the green biomass, the green quantity more accurately reflects thereasonableness of plant structure and ecological benefit level of green area system. It is also a greening and quantitative index of major research in many countries at present.The main streets,parks and schools in Baoding were choosed in the paper.The research object is 60 kinds of common species with different plant height, different crown, different diameter at breast height,different age classes were choosed in different locations.These were measured with the non-destructive direct measurement method. Green biomass with different tree species according to the formula that it is green biomass=V3+V4.Then,establish the regression equation.in order to Provide basic parameters for further evaluating the ecological benefit of different green space quantitatively in the future. Comparing their green biomass of different diameter at breast height(DBH) and size structure. The results showed as follows:1.The internal structure of a tree crown affects its green quantity. The internal structure of a tree crown of the different trees differs obviously and mainly in the volume of non-leave space in the tree crown. The features of internal structure which makes green quantity distribute unevenly in the tree crown directly affects green quantity. The result of measurement shows that Willow,Persimmon tree,Midget crabapple,Chinese redbud,Moundily,Rose,Chery plun,Ligustrum lucidum,Barberry with the area without leaf area is relatively large.On the contrary, the result of measurement shows that Sycamore,Beeswax,Heaven tree,Chinese scholartree,Ginkgo biloba,Cherry blossom, Whitebark,Platycladus orientalis,Rosebush,Spindle tree and so on with the area without leaf area is relatively small.In addition to, because of the different volume of the non-leave space and the shape feature of leaves and so on, the green quantity of the trees that have equal volume of tree crowns differs obviously.2. The different green term and growing month of a tree affect its green quantity. As far as the different tree species are concerned, even if they have same DBH and size structure, their green biomass has obvious difference. The green quantity of them are:the coniferous species greater than the broad-leaf species. One of the reasons is their different green term. The result of measurement shows that the green term of the broad-leaf species is 220 days, but that of the the coniferous species is 365 days.3.the green biomass was influence with Age level, diameter at breast height, plant height and crown on the tree. The results showed that the green biomass and the influencing factors with the linear correlation and the correlation coefficient R above 0.9. It is with the strong correlation.To the varieties of trees with the same age-class for Sycamore,Beeswax,Heaven tree,Chinese scholartree,Ginkgo biloba,Cherry blossom,Whitebark,Platycladus orientalis,Rosebush,Spindle tree and so on the green biomass is relatively large.In the city green, it suggests that both plant’s disposition and space structure of green area and selection of tree species and nursery stock size should be considered when the city green area is built with a amount of green quantity.We should choose Sycamore,Beeswax,Heaven tree,Chinese scholartree,Ginkgo biloba,Cherry blossom,Whitebark,Platycladus orientalis,Rosebush,Spindle tree and so on. In improving the urban environmental problems, under the premise of development of city landscape benefit, To a certain extent, the city green biomass creation to the maximum.
