China is one of the largest countries in the world in the field of cotton, while Xinjiang isChina’s high-quality cotton production and export base, but also China’s only long-staplecotton production base. Cotton planting area and crop yield has ranked first in the country formany years;it has become a pillar industry in Xinjiang, promoted the vigorous developmentof Xinjiang’s economy. As the intensive harvest period and labor shortage each year,a lot ofcotton have not timely harvesting, which aggravated the contradiction of cotton harvestingand Xinjiang economic development. Therefore, the cotton harvest mechanization andautomation, is the important way to realize the development of cotton industrialization. Overthe years, a few countries monopolize the core technology of cotton picker manufacture,mainly for the expensive horizontal spindle single type cotton picker, which can not meet theactual needs of production in Xinjiang area. Therefore, it is imminent to develop cottonpickers which with independent intellectual property rights, breaking up the marketmonopoly and domestic cost-effective production, in order to promote the development ofdomestic cotton picker. Reunification of the cotton picker is the idea of a bold attempt, themodern method of mechanical design and analysis methods, the transport system and a sixroll cleaning system is studied and improved, so as to ensure the collection type cotton pickerhigh recovery rate under the premise of the net, decease the impurity content of cotton. Theconcrete research content is as follows:(1) It analysed the domestic and foreign impurity cleaning system research and developmentstatus of the existing models, the cleaning system structure and principle, the research content,scheme and the objectives of the study, then analysed the formation of impurity and cleaningconditions and then studied the cleaning principle and cleaning method, combined with theover sampling cotton’s own characteristics, by using the method of pneumatic and mechanicalsynergetic cleaning to ensure the cleaning system.(2) Starting from the determination of agronomic characteristics of cotton, using randomsampling to measure various physical quantities of CHINA COTTON293and CHINACOTTON486, then measured the suspension characteristics, material density, picking qualityand moisture content. It laid the research foundation for delivery system of pneumaticpipeline design, structure design and parameter determination.(3) Through the comparative analysis method, determined the basic structure and relevantparameters of air cleaning system. They include the material conveying capacity, pressureloss in the process of conveying materials, pipeline radius of curvature, and the wind machinemodel, and so on. Established the air three-dimensional model system by using Solid works software, numerical simulated and analysed the flow field of air supply system by usingFluent software.(4) According to the characteristics of the final type cotton picker and the design principlesand technical requirements of cleaning system, using the Pro/E software to analyse andoptimize parameter the six prism type six roller cleaning mechanism, a barbed nail and rifflegrid. Analysis of the barbed nail rolling cylinder under different force vibration conditionsand the movement of cotton in different speed conditions by using Adams software. Drawingthe conclusion that cotton movement is intense when the rotation speed of the roller is bigger,and cotton motion tends to gradually change regularly with increasing speed.The research results of this paper have practical guiding significance to the design andoptimization on the cleaning system of final type cotton picker, and provide theoretical basisand scientific guide for the future development of seed cotton cleaning machine.
