The objective of this study was to solve the problem of over coloring grape berries ofred globe (Vitis vinifera L.cv.) in Xinjiang. The red globe grape was used as material, whichwas provided by experiment station of Agriculture College of Shihezi University. Influenceson grape berries coloration and quality of Red Globe by grassing, shading on up of grapearbor and under of grape arbor were studied during berry development. Correlation amongthe berries color parameters, UFGT activity, and Mv, Chlorophy, Carotenoid, Glucose,Fructose content of Red Globe grape. The results were showed as below:1. Fruit coloring was significantly impacted by grassing, shading on up of grape arborand under of grape arbor. With the increasing of terrestrial shading, fruit brightness L*, b*, C*increased and Color Index of Red Grape (CIRG) decreased. Fruit color changed from darkred to light red.2. Compared with control, grassing, shading on up of grape arbor and under of grapearbor significantly supressesd the berries peel malvidin (Mv), chlorophyll, carotenoidContent and UFGT activity Meanwhile, glucose and fructose content decressed.3. The period of Mv accumulation was consistent with UFGT activity. Mv wassignificantly correlated to L*, a*, b*, sugar content and CIRG.4. Fruit sugar content were lower and coloring were uneven in high shading rate. Incomparison, fruit sugar content were higher and color were dard red or pink color in lowshading rate or grassing.
