| In order to compare the germplasm differences between nutrient digestibility and serum biochemical indexes of different goose breeds in the same breeding environment in summer (August) and winter (February), we randomly chosen geese from 12 goose breeds with the same month age in National Water Fowl Species Gene Pool (Taizhou, Jiangsu), such as Zhedong goose, Magang goose, Wugang goose, Huoyan goose, Sichuan goose, Shitou goose, Wanxi goose, Wuzong goose, Taihu goose, Rhine goose, Lande goose, Xupu goose. We further made a correlation analysis among different indexes. This study can help people to know internal causes of germplasm differences and provide theoretical foundation for rational utilization and protection of domestic goose breeds resources. The main results showed as following:(1) The comparative analysis of nutrients digestibility between different goose breedsThere were differences in nutrient digestibility of different breeds. Wugang goose, Wuzong goose, Rhine goose, Xupu goose had higher digestibility of CP, GE, NFE indexes, which showed that they could deposit more nutrients in adulthood. Huoyan goose, Wuzong goose, Taihu goose had higher digestibility of fiber. Taihu goose, Xupu goose had the highest digestibility of ADF, ADS respectively. Shitou goose had lower digestibility of fiber. Physiological state of the gastrointestinal tract as well as the origin of the environment affected the utilization of fiber components in different breeds.(2) Effect of season on nutrient digestibilityThe digestibility of GE, DM, NFE, ADL, NDF in winter was higher than that in summer (P<0.01), the digestibility of EE, Ca, Ash was lower than these in summer (P<0.01). There were no significant differences among CP, CF, P, ADF, ADS indexes (P>0.05).(3) The comparative analysis of serum biochemical indexes among different goose breedsSerum proteins biochemical indexes:The TP, ALB indexes level of Taihu goose showed the lowest (P<0.05), and were close to that of Rhine goose and Xupu goose (P>0.05). There was no significant difference among others (P>0.05). The result showed that protein nutritional status of different breeds were different by feeding the same feed in the same living environment. The ability of Taihu goose utilizing feeding protein was worst. BUN indexes level of Rhine goose, Lande goose, Wugang goose were lowest (P<0.01), which indicated that protein deposition capacity of these geese was stronger than others. The AST, ALT indexes activity of Wanxi goose and Zhedong goose showed relatively high, which indicated that the balance of amino acids was better than others.Serum lipids biochemical indexes:The TG index level of Zhedong goose, Wanxi goose, Wuzong goose were higher than others (P<0.01) and TC index level of Shitou goose, Wanxi goose, Wuzong goose were higher than others (P<0.01). The TG index of Rhine goose was lower (P>0.05) and TC index was lowest (P<0.01). The LDL-C level of Wanxi goose was highest (P<0.01), which prompted that it had higher fat deposition ability. The HDL-C level of Wuzong goose, Magang goose, Shitou goose were higher (P<0.01), which prompted that they had higher dropping TC ability. Overall, the ability of lipid metabolism in Wanxi goose an Wuzong goose were strong, so they would deposit fat easily, but Rhine goose was in contrast.Serum inorganic ions biochemical indexes:There were extremely significant differences among Na+, Cl- indexes (P<0.01), which suggested that the body’s internal environment of each system are not consistent, because of the body’s different metabolic proper ties.(4) Effect of season and gender on serum biochemical indexes of geeseThere were extremely significant differences (P<0.01) and significant differences (P<0.05) between TP, ALB, GLB, BUN, ALT, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, K+, Cl-, Ca2+, A/G, AST indexes by seasonal changes and there was no significant difference among TC, Na+ indexes (P>0.05). There was no significant difference between AST, TC, K+, Na+, Cl- indexes (P>0.05) between different sexes and there were extremely significant differences (P<0.01) and significant differences (P<0.05) among others. |
