With the expansion of the rice planting area, rice harvest technology is also development in constant. It is reaped by today combined and mechanical segmentation harvest from the original single artificial harvest. So the loss rate of rice harvest has been reduced. In order to further reducing losses, improving the income of peasants, obtaining more profits, here is the experimental research of the rice windrower spread effect of segmented harvest and loss rate.This paper expounded the research of several following aspects on rice windrower:(1) According to harvest conditions and status of Heilongjiang Province paddy field; the principle of swather cutting table is summarized. The cutting table is designed. The reel speed,the installation height and the required power of reel are given. The required power and the pendulum ring shaft speed of cutting are calculated. The structure and size of the conveyor is designed.(2) The spring tooth on rice windrower wheel is analyzed and designed for rice lodging conditions, and through ANSYS software the statics analysis is done for the spring tooth, the stress deformation situation is obtained. The material, hardness and strength of the tine are contrasted, the tine meet their normal job requirements.(3) The 3 d drawing for rice windrower cut sets is designed by UG software, the parts and whole machine are assembled, the connecting rod and movement are set for the whole machine, the motion simulation is carried on. Through the simulation, it is obtained that the trajectory of the reel is coincides with that of the theoretical analysis. At the same time, the change versus of its displacement, velocity, acceleration and stress distribution with time are accessed.(4) With the forward speed(i.e., the speed of the reel), the horizontal distance and the distance between up and down of reel are selected as the factors, the shattering rate, swapping spike rate, leak cutting rate, the losses of stem winding, the total losses and the angle,thickness, width of placement are as the metrics, non-ladging rice is been experimental study of single factor. According to the single factor test results, the orthogonal experiment of four factors and three levels is gone. The major factors of affecting performance metrics are obtained through the orthogonal test. The optimum combination of parameters are determineby analysis of variance and Duncan multiple comparisons. Through verification experiment, it is given that each factor parameter values are in line with the effect of cutting and placement.Meanwhile, the orthogonal experiment of the lodging and cutting along the rice is gone. The corresponding optimum combinations of parameters are given and the results are given that the loss rate of inverse method for lodging rice is much less than smooth cutting method, and the placement is better.
