Southwest Guizhou Ecological Organic Tobacco Cultivation And Promotion System

With the development of living standard, customers pay more attention to the food safety than before. Tobacco is an industrial crop and addictive product, also needed as organic food product, so tobacco products are considered to plant by ecological cultivation in future. Field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of organic fertilizer and amounts of potassium application on the yield and quality of tobacco leaves by ecological cultivation way at Xingyi city in Guizhou province from 2013 to 2014, in order to improve quality of tobacco and maintain sustainable development of tobacco industry. The experiment result indicated that (1) compared with control, the leaf length and width were increased by applied organic fertilizer, and 450g/plant was recommended. (2) The best combination of planting densitiy and organic fertilizer application was that the distance between row and hill was 100×50 cm, and organic fertilizer applied 9000 kg/hm2. (3) Tobacco was applied 12g potassium sulphate per plant, and the leaf length and width were significantly higher than control.(4)The recommended time was 30 days after transplant to apply K fertilizer, in order to get better yield.The demonstration result indicated that (1) the output value and yield of ecological leaves was higher than traditional tobacco leaves. (2) The appearance traits such as leaf structure, oil etc. of the ecological tobacco was better than traditional tobacco leaves. (3) The average price, superior rate of leaves of the ecological tobacco were evidently higher than traditional tobacco leaves.
