Plot exeperiments had been conducted in Experiment Science Park of Henan Agricultural University in 2008, which studied the effect of organic materials with potassium fertilizer on root zone,physiological characteristic, carbon and nitrogen metabolism and relative components of flue-cured tobacco Zhongyan100; Meanwhile, the field experiment conducted in the XiangCheng County of Henan Province studied that the effect of organic materials with potassium fertilizer on yield, value, inner chemical composition, the neutrality volatile aroma and physical characteristics of flue-cured tobacco ZhongYan 100. The results were as follows:1.Organic materials in the soil is the source of microbial nutrients and energy, long- term application of organic manure can increase soil microbial and enzyme activity. Microbial propagation in the root zone soil of tobacco were promoted, and the catalase activity was activated by organic materials with potassium fertilizer application. And T4 is the best treatment.2.With the root elongation and plant growth, potassium demand of root zone soil was increased,and the amount was more than the conversion of potassium in soil,thus rapidly-available-K and available-K were decreased relatively. Rapidly-available-K is the largest part of available-K, especially in the growth late stage, so it is the determinant of available K in soil,and effective part of slowly-available-K is the element. Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can improve potassium (rapidly-available-K and available-K) content differently,and T4 is the best.3.Compared with conventional fertilization, the organic materials with potassium fertilizer T4 was relatively good for the root elongated and its materials accumulated, and the root activity and root cation exchange capacity were increased effectively,thus to enhance the root metabolism favorble.4.Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can improve carbon and nitrogen metabolism activity, and do not affect the metabolism transformation,thus in favor of the intrinsic quality of high-quality tobacco leaf formation.T4 is the best. 5.Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can promote photosynthe -sis of tobacco plant at vigorous growing stage,while chlorophyll declined after the topping day can guarantee tobacco leaf mature normally.In addition, the plastid pigments (chlorophyll and carotenoids) accumulation amount of the latter is also to improve the aroma quality of the flue-cured tobacco,thus to lay a certain foundation of material. T4 is the best.6.Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can reduce the catalase activity of tobacco growth period,and raise polyphenol oxidase activity of middle- latter growth period.It shows that the metabolism in leaves was enhanced. In the same external environment,organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments against stress was better relatively, and T4 has a good effect.7. Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can increase potassium content,reduce chlorine content, improve K/Cl in leaves. T4 has a relatively good performance, especially the latter tobacco growth period. By the rapidly-available-K and available-K in soil, root cation exchange capacity, and potassium in leaves,these four indexes correlation analysis related analysis to know that these are extremely significant positive correlation, and the level of available-K in soil and potassium in leaves have more closely related (r =0.96), the rapidly-available-K takes second place, followed by root cation exchange capacity.8. Organic materials with potassium fertilizer treatments can improve yield, value, average price and high-middle-quality ratioon,coordinate the chemical constituents and improve the physical indexes, increase the aroma volume of tobacco leaves, thus lay the foundation for improve smoking and aroma quality of the flue-cured tobacco. In general, the organic materials with potassium fertilizer T4 is relative good for flue-cured tobacco growth and intrinsic quality.
