GHRL and its receptor GHSR aretwo important genes of animals in growth and development.Ghrelin(GHRL) is a kind of brain-gut peptide and its receptor(GHSR) is a G protein-coupled-protein, they are all closely related to the release of growth hormone,food in take,energy balance, the accumulation of fat and so on. This research was aimed to explore the relationship between the polymorphisms of gene GHRL and GHSR with body measurement trait of Qinchuan beef cattle.We determined the polymorphic sites of GHRL and GHSR by direct sequencing, and analyzed the relevance of polymorphic sites and body measurement trait of Qinchuan beef cattle with SPSS software system to find the candidate gene that possibly influence body measurement trait of Qinchuan beef cattle and provide theoretical basis for Strengthen the meat selection and improving Qinchuan beef cattle production performance in China. The results showed that,:Genetic variation analysis showed that there were one polymorphic site C4032 T on the exon 4 of GHRL, two polymorphic sites G2722 A and C2933 T on the exon 1 and two polymorphic sites G5257 A and A5488 G on the exon 2 of GHSR. G2722 A and C2933 T were synonymous mutation. C4032 T, G5257 A and A5488 G were missense mutation.Population genetics analysis showd that there were three genotypes of all the five polymorphic sites, we found that all the polymorphism sites were moderately polymorphic by comparing the polymorphism information content(PIC),and the locus A5488 G was in Hardy-Weinberg extremly imbalance and the others were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium state by comparing the χ2.Correlation analysis indicated that C4032 T highly significantly related to body length,body height, waist height, hip width and chest girth, significantly related to rump length and chest depth; G2722 A significantly related to body length, body height and waist height,highly significantly related to hip width, chest girth and rump length; C2933 T played significant role in body length, body height, hip width and chest girth; G5257 A highlysignificantly related or significantly related to body length, hip width and chest girth;A5488G highly significantly related or significantly related to body length, body height, hip width,rump length and chest depth.This research indicates that gene GHRL and GHSR was sure to impact body measurement trait of Qinchuan beef cattle in some ways. The two genes could be the candidate genes to study body measurement trait of Qinchuan beef cattle.
