In recent years, with the development of walnut planting industry in China, the development of fruit industry in Shaanxi Province is more rapid. The walnut has become the focus of the development of Shaanxi fruit industry as the local advantages and characteristics of the fruit. It is developing fairly fast in Shangluo and other places of Shaanxi Province, the yield increased year by year, but most of the pretreatment for walnut are still use traditional method. In order to reduce the labor, a variety of walnut peel peeling equipment are designed, however walnut peel peeling equipment is not popularize in the market, because of different walnut cultivars, different maturity, stripping unreasonable and so forth. This project is supported by Science and Technology Department of Shaanxi Province Project (project number:2014K01-32-01). A machine for walnut peel is designed for the above-mentioned problems, the main research of the thesis as follows:(1) The analysis on current situation and problems of walnut peel peeling equipment is conducted and the research on development situation of walnut in Shaanxi Province is carried out. The features were summarized by research on various types of walnut peel devices and different theories.(2) Through the study of walnut in Shaanxi Province, the physical parameters of walnut and the distinction in the peeling between immature and mature green walnut are obtained. The finite element analysis of walnut was performed to verify the static experiment of walnut on the universal material facility.(3) Through the research on methods of peeling, the basic plan of walnut peeling prototype was developed with such theories as mechanical designing and extrusion kneading principle. The design on components of prototype and the analysis on motor, motion parameters were carried out. And the theoretical checking for gate slat was performed.(4) the three-dimensional prototype is modeled. The simulation test of prototype and the optimized parameters were carried out to check the interference between the components of the prototype.(5) The impacts on walnut peeling with such different factors as green walnut size, working speed were gotten by the experiments on the prototype, which offered the enhanced method. Finally, the 3D model of finally mechanical structure was established by using virtual prototype technology.
