Chinese herbal medicines is a kind of natural green plants, it has the inhibitory effect on most microorganisms, and it also has certain fungicidal activity to the wood rot fungi. Based on effect of strong toxicity the of present chemical preservatives on human and animals and environment, if the Chinese herbal medicines used in wood preservation industry, it can play a huge advantages. In this paper, we use the Chinese herbal coptis, which has a good inhibitory effect on the wood rot fungi. The active ingredients with antimicrobial activity were isolated and screened in coptis. At the end of the study, a preliminary study was made on the application of the tablet type wood preservative.The main research results this paper are as follows:1. The content of berberine in the alkaloids of coptis and inhibition test as the index, the best extraction technology of active ingredients in coptis:The powder of coptis was mixed with 8 times amount of 95% ethanol,soak 12h,ultrasonic 600w,20KHz pulse processing 30min, reflux 4h, the maximum content of berberine hydrochloride reach to 19.933%.2. According to the best technology, the active ingredient in coptis was extracted. It was proved by identification of nuclear magnetic resonance that the components of the antimicrobial action were berberine hydrochloride, tetrahydropalmatine and four hydrogen jatrorrhizine. And it showed by the high performance liquid chromatography that their purity respectively was 91%,90%,90%.3. The fungicidal activity of white rot fungi and brown rot fungi was tested by a single component and different combinations of active ingredient. The results showed that the combination of the three effective components had the best fungicidal effect, and the minimal inhibitory concentration was 0.01 g/ml.4. The three effective components in accordance with the mass ratio of 1:1:1 were mixed as the main medicine, then theā€™main medicine and the auxiliary material chitosan were produced in the tablet according to the mass ratio of 1:1. Tablets are good for all kinds of characters. Surface color uniformity, smooth roundness, moderate hardness and good solubility, average thickness 3.50mm, diameter 6.05mm, a single tablet quality difference of not more than 0.05g, and the average quality of the tablets is 0.1Og per tablet. Indoor corrosion test show that the corrosion resistance level of tablets reached level I, and the minimum weight loss rate was 4.6%. Anti-loss performance test showed that the loss rate of the tablet was 24.43%, when the tablet drug loading amount was 2.75kg/m3, and the addition of chitosan increased the anti loss rate by 16.70%.
