Objective To observe the preventive effect of Compound Lizards Powder on rats withacute gastric mucosal injury which induced by ethanol,and explore the mechanism of thetherapeutic action of DCCLP on acute gastric mucosal lesion.Methods70SD healthy male rats were randomly divided into normal control group,model control group,Cisapride treated group,Bismuth potassium citrate treated group,compound powder lizards80mesh treated group, compound powder lizards100meshtreated group,DCLP (80mesh+100mesh) treated group. Except normal control group rats,others were made to model of acute gastric mucosal injury with95%Ethanol.When the modelwas established successfully, treated group rats was given different dose medicines for5days. Then,all the rats were sacrificed.Their blood serum were collected to detect EGF,GASand MTL by ELISA and detect the histological mucosa changes by HE.Results Compared with model group, the level of serum EGF in the rats of theCompound Lizards Powder treated groups and Bismuth potassium citrate treated group wassignificantly increased (P<0.01).The level of serum GAS in the rats of the all treated groupswere significantly reduced (P<0.01) and the level of plasma MTL in the rats of the all treatedgroups was also significantly reduced (P<0.01).The level of serum EGF in the rats of theDCLP treated group was significantly higher than Bismuth potassium citrate treated group(P<0.01) and higher than Compound powder lizards80mesh treated group (P<0.05).Thelevel of serum GAS in the rats of the DCLP treated group was significantly lower than Bismuth potassium citrate treated group and Cisapride treated group (P<0.01). Besides,thelevel of serum GAS in the rats of the DCLP treated group was significantly lower thanCompound powder lizards80mesh treated group (P<0.01). The level of plasma MTL in therats of all the Compound powder lizards treated groups was significantly lower than Modelgroup and Cisapride treated group (P<0.01),at the same time, it was significantly higher thanblank group. Besides,the pathologic changes of injured gastric mucosa of all the Compoundpowder lizards treated groups was significantly improved.Conclusions Compound Lizards Powder has the function of protecting and repairinginjured gastric mucosal and the result of the DCCLP is the best. Maybe it can improve thegastric mucosal barrier function, enhance gastric mucosal repair capacity and inhibit gastricacid secretion to Protect gastric mucosa. Regulating gastrointestinal motility, Promoting EGFgeneration, inhibiting GAS secretion and adjusting the level of MTL from two-way are thepossible mechanisms.
