Objective:Applying isokinetic technique to study the differences of hip muscular strength in patients with Gluteal Muscle Contracture(GMC), further analysis of the pathogenesis of complications in patients with GMC.Methods:In June 2013 to July 2014, the 16 female patients with GMC from first rehabilitation hospital of Shanghai,16 healthy female volunteers was selected as the control group, Prospective studies. Applying the isokinetic testing technique to test the peak torque, relative peak torque and the flexion-extension ratio at an angular velocity of 60°/S of hip joint flexion and extension, internal and external rotation, abduction and adduction such three functional axis in patient with GMC and normal subjects. Using independent- sample t test to compare these indexes with normal people. Results:The peak torque (68.31±12.60、65.20±12.20、0.22±0.04) of hip joint flexion, external rotation and abduction in Patients with GMC was greater than normal subjects (64.59±16.17、60.17±12.34、0.20±0.04), but the peak torque of hip extension lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The flexion-extension ratio in the experience group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Hip muscle strength imbalances in patients with GMC, the muscle strength of the hip flexion, abduction, external rotation was greater than normal people, but the extensor muscle strength was less than normal people.
